OCRP GOALS
The primary goal of Phase One of the Ozarow Cemetery Restoration Project is to undertake the renovation of the cemetery in Ozarow (voivodship Swietokrzyskie, district Opatow) by:
- cleaning the cemetery
- building a cemetery wall
- erecting a commemorative monument
- placing a descriptive plaque in three languages (English, Polish, Hebrew) near the gate, describing the history of the site and acknowledging the contribution of those who supported the project, including the mayor of Ozarow, Mr. Marcin Majcher, and the local Catholic priest, Father Stanislaw Szczerek.

The activities include the design, bidding, contractor selection, obtaining permissions and authorizations (especially working with the Chief Rabbi and other Polish Jewish groups), and construction oversight.
Phase Two of the project will include the resetting and raising of fallen monuments on secure bases.
The expected completion date of Phase One of the project is the middle of October 2001.
